They are bottles with more volume and weight than other pharmaceutical formats, usually made of plastic and with plenty of label surface. Here the challenge is no longer small size, but managing the mass of the full container during transport.
It is a format that suits AUTOLINE Pharma and ETIFLEX Pharma well. With the standard ETIFLEX Pharma model, output is around 200 containers per minute, which is already fast for pharmaceuticals. The large models, rarely used in this sector, can reach 400.
More volume means more inertia, which limits conveyor acceleration and, with it, the production rate. With the same application technology, a mouthwash bottle will always yield fewer containers per minute than a small format.
