Regulation (EU) 1169/2011 requires the name of the food, ingredients with allergens highlighted, net quantity, date, batch number, nutrition declaration and details of the food business operator, all in a minimum font size. That amount of information ends up determining the label size and, with it, which type of application is feasible.
Practically any container in the sector: glass or PET bottles, cans, jars, pots, tubs, trays, jerrycans and containers for meat products and cured sausages, such as fuet, in different capacities.
The machines label cylindrical, oval, square, rectangular or special-shaped containers, and can combine different types of application: wrap-around labels, front and back labels, seals or guarantee seals.

The offer is completed by cold glue solutions for pre-cut paper labels, which reach outputs of up to 20,000 bottles per hour and are particularly efficient on high-volume consumer goods lines.
It has to be oriented first, using a notch, the mould seam or a feature read by a machine vision system as a reference. The label is then applied following its actual perimeter. Without that prior orientation, the label ends up off-centre relative to the embossing or the design of the bottle.
Yes, by adjusting the format and the parameters. What changes between the two is weight, stiffness and behaviour on the conveyor: plastic tolerates less holding pressure and glass needs more care against impacts.
