Because the radius does not change. It is usually the easiest to label: the label is applied by rotating the container on its own axis, at a uniform speed, as it moves through the machine.
As a general rule the mechanism is simpler, although there are exceptions when the container needs orientation or carries several labels.
It is a label that goes around the perimeter of the container. It can be a partial wrap or a full wrap, in which case it closes on itself with an overlap. It is worthwhile when the aim is to cover as much of the container surface as possible.
